Betty Jo Dunahoo, 93, formerly of Osceola, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, in Benton, Ark. Born Oct. 30, 1931, in Steele, Mo., while in Osceola she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and First Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending worship services and bible studies at Mt. Carmel in Benton where she lived later in life. She worked at Home Oil Company in Osceola for over 30 years. In her spare time, she loved to babysit grandkids, square dance and worked as a volunteer at the Osceola Memorial Hospital, "The Pink Ladies". She was known as "Momma Betty" to her grandkids and greatgrandkids with who she loved spending time.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Ralph Dunahoo; four sisters, Onita Kellems, Rubye Barnes, Dorothy Pritchard, and Carline Pritchard; and one great-granddaughter, Hannah Patterson.
She is survived by one son, James S. "Jimmy" Dunahoo (Pam), of Benton; two daughters, Karen Jo Jacobs (Rick), of Osceola, and Teresa Marie Godsey (Donald), of Benton; six grandchildren. Bryan Goble, of Rogers, Ark., Kevin Goble, of Wilson, Ark., Amy Holland, of Alexander, Ark., Russell Godsey and Ashley Patterson, both Benton, and Blake Godsey, Little Rock, Ark.; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild in Marion, Ark.
Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola.
Funeral services follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Todd Vinson officiating. Burial was held in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge of arrangements.
