Janice Eleanor Tacker Colbert

Janice Eleanor Tacker Colbert, 82, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025. Born Oct. 28, 1942, in Dyess, Ark., she was raised on a farm in Whitton, Ark. with her brothers Bobby Tacker, and Cletus Tacker Jr, and sisters Frances Cowden, Nancy Curtwright and Linda Pierce. In 1962 she married the love of her life Wallace Colbert, Jr. She retired in 1987 as secretary at Osceola High School and began her trade in antiques and collectibles. She was a member of Joiner Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Dorothy Tacker; her husband, Wallace Colbert, Jr.; and baby sister, Linda Pierce.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce Colbert III (Jennifer) and Rob Colbert (Donna); seven grandchildren, Terri Moore (Syd), Brooke Colbert (Ty), Blair Colbert, Tacker Colbert (Sarah), Bethany Cuellar (Noa), Bruce Colbert IV and Bo Colbert; and three great-grandchildren, Harper Moore, Miles Moore and soon to be born Grady Colbert.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola, Ark.

A celebration of life service will follow at 2 p.m.
