Darnell Williams

Darnell Williams, 78, of Conway, Ark., died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at St. Vincent in Little Rock, Ark. Born Oct. 7, 1946, in Joiner, Ark., he dedicated his life to farming until his retirement and was a devout member of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Williams and Martha Rupert; three brothers, Emmanuel Williams, Willie Williams, and Tom Williams; and one sister, Augustus Facon.

He is survived by his wife, Ora Williams, of Conway; four sons, Ryan Williams and Jarrod Williams (Darlene), all of Panama City, Panama, Demond Williams (Katrina), of Conway, and Larry Buford, of Osceola, Ark.; four daughters, Itina Williams, of Conway, Shanetta Tramble (Brandon), of Iowa City, Iowa, Whitney Buford, of Paragould, Ark., and Brittany Buford, of Osceola; one brother, Fleming Williams, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Teresa Thomas, of Chicago, Ill., and Cornelius Banks, of Joiner; 42 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at Faith and Glory Christian Fellowship in Blytheville, Ark. with Pastor Adrion Poole officiating. Burial followed in Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.

Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville was in charge of arrangements.
