Lois Linton Watts, 83, of Osceola, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024. Born Jan. 16, 1941, in Trumann, Ark., after graduating from Trumann High School and the Jonesboro Business College, she married Robert E. “Bob” Watts. Along with raising two sons, she enjoyed a 37-year career in the field of banking and retired as the Community Bank President of Union Planters Bank of Osceola. Active in her community, Lois served on the boards of the Osceola Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, and United Way. She attended the First Methodist Church in Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earlene (Holley) Linton and Glyn Linton; and her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Watts.

She is survived by her sons, Bryan Watts (Tricia), of Jonesboro, Ark., and Jeff Watts (Sherry), of Lonoke, Ark.; one grandson, Wesley Watts (Sydney), of Paragould, Ark.; one brother, Mike Linton (Jennifer), of Lonoke, and three nephews.

A family graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Roller-Farmers Union Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Dunlap

Betty Dunlap, 74, of Wilson, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024. Born Oct. 19, 1950, in Frenchman’s Bayou, Ark., she dedicated her life to the New Life Tabernacle Church and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed caring for the children there as if they were her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Newell and Etoy Dunlap; one sister, Shirley Jones; and two brothers, Tommy and James Dunlap.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 at New Life Tabernacle in Wilson.

Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m.
